Gift Baskets
Whether it’s the holiday season, a birthday, wedding, or time to let someone know you’re thinking about them, the Marion Street Cheese Market has all the supplies necessary to put together a memorable gift basket. Simply stop by the shop to hand-select the items you’d like to include in your custom gift basket, and be sure to grab one of our friendly staff members if you’d like some recommendations along the way. You choose the size basket you want and we’ll include your selected items, add a little aesthetic touch, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
MSCM retail associates are always more than happy to assemble custom gift baskets for you for any occasion.
How it works:
you come in to visit us, peruse our grocery, cheese, wine and beer selections, you pick up the “gotta have” items. We then determine the appropriate gift basket, fill it, wrap it up for you while you wait (or while you are off running other errands, or enjoying a libation at our wine/craft beer bar….) and viola! You’re a rock star!
Of course, if you don’t know what that lovely basket should be filled with, no worries, MSCM staff have plenty of suggestions, and are more than happy to share them with you (mostly what we would love to receive if someone were to buy us a lovely basket)!
Love on a Shoestring (cuz everyone’s on a budget these days!):
This gift basket is soft on the budget (under $30), but jam-packed with love!!! It includes a 3 oz jar of Wisconsin Natural Acres Honey, 1 pack of Valencianos Artisanal Crackers (our favorite flavor is Sunflower Seed), 1 bottle of Beso de Vino Syrah, your pick of orphan cheeses, and 2 chocolate Turtles made by Rich Chocolates, Chicago.
Love Stinks (a.k.a All the Single Ladies…):
Just because some of us aren’t attached, it doesn’t mean we don’t deserve baskets too! This anti-Valentine’s Day gift basket(under $66) is great to share with those friends who are presently “all outta love”. It includes 2 bombers of Rogue’s Double Dead Guy, 1 Boska Cheese Hachet Knife, 1 jar of Rick’s Picks Mean Beans, 1 box of Fine Cheese Company’s Charcoal Crackers and 1 jar of River Valley Kitchen Garlic Cheese Spread (sure to keep both the vampires and kisses away).
Here are some of our favorite chocolates that can be added to a basket, or just bought on their own:
Knipschildt Chocolatier (Connecticut): heart shaped Antoinette truffle( white & dark chocolates with rosewater), heart shaped Charlotte truffle (white & milk chocolates with Turkish apricots and basil), Karel truffle (dark chocolate with candied violets…chocolate and flowers all in one!)
Rich Chocolate(Chicago): orange macadamia dark chocolate toffee, Devon Street truffle (garam masala enrobed in leopard print…Carla says “it’s a sexy chocolate!!!”), or the Manhattan chocolate (milk chocolate, whiskey and a dried cherry)
Katherine Anne Confections (Chicago): strawberry balsamic caramel, cherry amaretto truffle, chocolate walnut caramel
Terry’s Toffees (Chicago): Cran-Orange Passion, McCall’s Classic
Whimsical Candy (Chicago): of course we love her La-De-Dahs, but did you know that she makes to-die-for nougats that only we carry in the area? Both flavors are available; chocolate peanut, and coconut almond.
